Bling, bling!

Who loves race medals?

Disclaimer: not my medals. My camera isn't charged ;)

I DO, I DO!

Who hates cancer?

MEEEEE!

If you are with me (or even if you aren't) check this out:

That's right, cancer really SUCKS.  So my partner in running crime Hope and I are hosting a VIRTUAL  (as in, run wherever YOU are, travel not necessary) race to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society as a part of Team in Training to help find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

Here's the details:

***  Register here between now and December 16th, cost $20   http://www.LousyRunner.com/register.html

***Run or walk your 5k on Saturday December 17th .  WHEREVER you are!

***Comment on TheLousyRunner.com that you completed your race, and you are entered into a drawing for a few prize packages (more info coming soon)

BEST PART:  **ALL PARTICIPANTS**  will be sent a FINISHERS MEDAL!!  A "Lousy" one at that ! (actually, it's pretty cool...). And who doesn't love a little bling?

So come on, what are you waiting for?  Let's kick cancer's a$$, one running- step at a time!

And please, please, please, spread the word!  Help us make this virtual event a success!

(Note: if you are not interested in participating but would still like to make a tax deductible contribution, please click this link here:  http://pages.teamintraining.org/vtnt/tinkerb12/runfastermommy )

THANK YOU FRIENDS!!!

That's the coolest thing ever. Three weeks ago, I did a 10k on my treadmill for breast cancer, in honor of my sister in law. I couldn't make it to the actual race, so I signed up then just did it at home. Good for you. It's been a very expensive few months for me, I may come back and join, I'm trying not to spend $ every two seconds so we'll see. :)

Great idea! And I really only run for the bling and to eat more, so I can't wait. I'm going to have my husband time me, too, because it's been a long time since I ran a timed 5K and would to know how I'm doing.
