The rest of the day... so many students from the city... their families in the towers...my family in D.C....no ones phone calls went through... campus on lockdown... so much panic and many tears...it was and still is all a blur.
But that blue sky, and the second plane, are forever etched into my memory.
My heart is with all of the victims, their families, and all of the survivors, all of the men and women who went to war and continue to protect us now, and everyone else who's lives were forever changed on that tragic day. God Bless the U.S.A.

So well said Heather. I also remember it well and am so grateful to all our heroes then and now who put their lives on the line for us. God Bless America
I can not believe its been 10 years already!I know that day will be remembered clearly forever by me as well. And I just wanted to say I love that Bible verse. It always reminds me of a song that a friend of mine sang at a concert (so basically good job getting it stuck in my head)!
I think most people remember exactly where they were and what they were doing, when they heard about the planes hitting the towers - even people like me, living far away from the states.
And today we are also remembering and reflecting about the time passed and time to come.
Have a nice Sunday.
Well said Heather...Being in a school close to the airport in Boston, our school went on lock down. I had no idea what had happened but I knew I needed to keep my first graders calm and feel safe. Those images forever remain with so many!
Well said. I too remember watching in horror as the 2nd plane hit. I was thinking the first one was some terrible accident, until watching the 2nd one. Then I knew it was terrible, but no accident.
Well said. Beautiful verse.
