toot toot

I'm racing a 5k on Sunday (Military Appreciation day 5k here in Myrtle Beach) so I promise "Run Faster Mommy" will return to RUNNING...but...I'm proud of myself, and this is my blog, soooo...

One week of Insanity + 1800 cals/daily of CLEAN, minimal to zero processed foods. Done.  6.3 inches. Gone. Down 2.5% body fat.  We'll see how it plays out in my 5k this weekend.

Shaun T: I love you, no matter what I scream at you during our workouts. I really, really love you.

excuse the backwards mirror picture, haha

(we don't own a scale, just a BIA and tape measure. First weight came from the gym. Will update that next time I'm over there !)

I'm not just talking the talk because I became a Beachbody coach. I became a Beachbody coach because these workouts are the greatest thing since sliced bread and I want to share them. I was unhappy in my own skin, and I decided to do something about it, something running wasn't doing for me.  Goodbye skinny-fat Heather, hello emerging strong, kick a$$ Heather.  Worth. Every. Penny.  http://www.rfmfitness.com/  You can sign up for the FREE community at that link (click "join) and check out even more success stories, and even more ripped abs, that I aspire to have, haha!

We will now return to your regularly scheduled running rambles. Thanks for letting me share. :)

I'm so proud of you! You know you have a lot of fans that will root you on! You inspire me. Once baby comes in August, I'll be hitting it hard at the end of September/october. Take Car!

Thats great.Good luck on your race. Go ARMY. But just curious what your weight is at week one. You left it blank.

I love that skinny-fat! Unless a person is very overweight, others don't want to hear about the need for you to lose weight. I say it's all relative. My happy healthy fit weight might be lower than someone else's but I still need to get there. I think I may have to be tapping my savings!

Shannon, I don't own a scale :) I don't believe the number on the scale is a good judge of where you are health wise. we do have a handheld BIA though

*I should add though I got the start weight at my gym. Next time I go there I'll get on it again :)

Good for you for finishing Week 1 of Insanity. Good thing Shaun T. is such a cutie... because otherwise I would really start to hate him for those workouts ;-)

Seriously. Good job.

Holy cow, Heather! What amazing results (not that you didn't start with awesome). We've been looking for a new workout to do (we're done with 30 day shred and ripped in 30). But, holy cow, that's one expensive set!

I've been a long time fan of your blog! Those results are great! What does your typical day of eating look like to achieve those results too? I'd love the info!
Thanks for the inspiration,

HUGE high five. That is amazing progress for a week. YOU RULE.

Great job! That is awesome. I personally think you look great in your before pic, but I also know what you mean about wanting to be fitter. The inches lost is better than weight, especially since your arms are going up. Whoo Hoo! I have actually put on a few pounds since last year in my quest to become stronger and faster. How tall are you?

HEATHER @ runfastermommy! said...

Thanks Melissa! I'm 5'7.5" tall (don't forget that half inch, LOL)

Hi from a fellow 'skinny-fat' running mommy! Just started reading your blog a few days ago and already you inspired me to give Insanity a try! Got my hands on a copy this morning and just finished the fitness test (following an 8k run, probably would have gotten better numbers if I had have done the test BEFORE my run!).

Shut it down! Really?!?! Looking hella good girl. Thanks for sharing your results :)

And in the process of cleaning up your act you've managed to balance out your left and right arms - well done!

I know this is a running blog but please continue to post your results. This is so amazing. I just started p90x, and love reading your journey for insperation. Still I sneak my jogs in. They are just shorter. Your making fantastic progress. I wonder how much faster your 5k will be now?
