3 years ago today, my life changed forever.

3 years ago today, I became a mommy.

The 40 weeks (to the day, Rowen was born on his due date) of pregnancy that I spent wondering what motherhood would be like could have never prepared me for the actual task. There was nothing on earth that could have prepared me for the overwhelming strength of a mothers love.

Motherhood has been the most challenging, but most AMAZING task I've ever been given, and I can not imagine my life without my babies.

I just wonder how, in the blink of an eye, Rowen went from a newborn, helpless little baby, to such a smart, outgoing, crazy, stubborn, loving little man?

We celebrated this wonderful occasion yesterday, with a visit to "A Day Out with Thomas". Seeing Rowen's eyes light up when he saw the REAL Thomas the tank engine was priceless.

We got to spend the day as a family, with my younger sister (Aunt Cathy) and our wonderful friends the Naatz family. I never imagined 3 year olds could have best friends, but without a doubt that is exactly what Rowen and Kayden are!

So today there will be no race reports, no long run tales or GU reviews. Just a short but sweet blog post to say that today, and everyday , I thank God for choosing Rich and I to be the parents of such an awesome little human being.

Happy Birthday Rowen! I can not wait to watch you grow up and share countless more adventures with you....but please, can we slow it down just a little?
