Ode to Dad

I've learned a lot of important life lessons from my dad:

Always reel the fish in, don't just turn around, run, and drag him into shore.

Money doesn't grow on trees, and we don't live in a barn, so turn off the lights and shut the door.

Marijuana shouldn't be illegal, but it is, so don't use it.

When in a canoe, it's always best to shout "watch out for the dock" a bit sooner than 2 seconds before impact.

The real four basic food groups include: cheesey poofs, hamburger, chocolate, and potato (usually in the form of fries or chips). When you reach 21, add "beer" as basic food group number 5.

Learn to drive a standard transmission so you are never stranded; and never let off the gas during mud season.

Be on the lookout for Land Sharks.

But the most important lesson my father has ever taught me:
Never, ever let someone tell you that you CAN'T do something. Believe in yourself, and you can do anything.

Happy Father's day Daddy, thank you for all of the love and support you have given me, but most importantly, thank you for being you!

So sweet. Love the lessons. I think most Dads would agree those! My dad was huge on the driving a stick shift.
