It's 6:15 est and I'm still a good 4 hours from home. Chris has kindly taken over driving once again so I can hang out with baby Kain in the backseat and write a blog on the blackberry.
We had a great 5 days.Jackson mississippi was pretty much like any other town I've been in, but Jim's family's home was beautiful, welcoming, and reminded me A LOT of sharon VT. The Hilton we stayed in was also beautiful and welcoming, but did not remind me of Vermont in the slightest haha.
The wedding was so much fun, just as I expected it to be! We had a delightful rehersal dinner where I got drunk off of one (yes, one) glass of wine. I skipped the after party at the hotel bar but did join my sisters for a slumber party where we talked all night.
The next morning I left Kain with grandma and joined Holly and a handful of her running/tri friends for the "wedding day 5k" later named the "just-I-Do-it" 5k. Haha. This park we ran in...well you honestly would have to see it to believe it. In fact when I get home I will google map it and post. The park wasn't much bigger than a soccer field and full of big oak trees. And somehow on this little plot of land, there was a paved one mile walking/running path. And loop it was not...more like a crazy maze! It looped and zigzaggesd everywhich way in order to use every bit of this land to squeek out a one mile course. It was hysterical and so much fun!
Next came hair, makeup, dresses, pictures galore, and the long wait in the limo for the ceremony. On tv you always see the brides running late to their own wedding, but my poor sister sat there for atleast 45 minutes waiting for her big moment. I passed the time with her by running off to fetch her a peanut butter sandwich, across the yard barefoot in my dress (those heels sunk through the dirt with every step!),telling stories, and admiring all the guests that passed the limo but couldn't see us inside.
The ceremony was perfect. The rain and thundershowers, predicted at an 80 percent chance all day held off until the very last hour of the ceremony. Holly was stunningly beautiful in her dress and Jim handsome in his Air Force dress blues. I made in the whole ceremnony without crying until they were announced husband and wife, and walked back down the aisle to U2's "beautiful day". I'm such a sap LOL. It was beautiful and I'm so happy for both of them! And I just adore my sister's new mother in law, I wish they lived closer!!!
All the fun, food, and celebration put a bit of a damper on my training. Meaning I haven't done a thing since last weekend (bridal 5k didn't count). And am I ever feeling it!! I will need to kick my own a$$ this week to make up for it. But, my older sister/best friend in the world's wedding was more than well worth it!!
And I wanted to mention...for their wedding registry Holly and Jim asked that instead of gifts, donations be made to Team Fight/ the Ulman Cancer Fund For Young Adults. The two of them (holly and jim) never cease to amaze me with their selflessness! To learn more about Team Fight, please visit http://www.teamfight.org. You can find Holly and Jims fundraising wedding page through that link (under Holly Gannoe)
Pictures will be posted when I get my hands on some!!!

Oh you make me cry and it was a crazy run course. I am really happy that you had a good time and you made me smile and I was calmer every time I saw you running to and from the farm house in your fancy dress and bare feet, sister! Thank you for being my maiden of honor and doing all the traveling you have done over the last 2 months. I promise to give you a break for a few months - now get back to RUNNING! Love you!
